Ad Spending Barely Budged in 2007
U.S. Total of $149 Billion Represents Tiny 0.2% Increase
NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- U.S. ad spending growth ground to a halt in 2007, climbing a negligible 0.2% to reach $149 billion last year after a 4.1% gain in 2006, according to data released Tuesday by TNS Media Intelligence. Some sectors fared better than others. Online ad spending continued to grow faster than any other media, notching a 15.9% increase to reach $11.3 billion and consumer magazines grew 7% to $24.4 billion. ...
