NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- For the 11th year Advertising Age ad critic Bob Garfield bestows awards for the best performances by an actor, actress and celebrity in a TV commercial. This eight-minute program marks the first time the awards have ever been announced in a video format.

Some excellent choices. Love the insurance gal; she's tops. Don't agree on the celebrity choice. That was more about awarding the commercial itself. Tina's my choice. Now, how about a new category: kids. There are some fabulous kids in ads - e.g., the Verizon boy last year. Some kids have gone on to major roles from great commercials. Just a thought. Happy New Year!

Agree with all the choices, the desk clerk being my favorite; On another ad,the Comcast "monster" and his zombie friends who were being blocked due to violent scenes should be mentioned. His size contrasted with that of the concerned mom and his facial expressions and verbal comments kept me from hitting the "jump" or "mute" button.
