KFC teams dissect 'FCK' and when they need to drop a new Colonel

By Published on .

KFC has been a creative darling in the U.S. and across the pond, and at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity we got a chance to dissect the work with some of its key marketing and creative leaders. We sat down with Meg Farren, CMO of KFC U.K. and Mother London Creative Partner Hermeti Balarin to chat about the brand's epic apology to its chicken shortage fiasco in the U.K., and with Wieden & Kennedy Portland ECDs Eric Baldwin and Jason Bagley and KFC U.S. Marketing Director George Felix to discuss what goes into four years of its rotating Colonel Sanders cast. Just ahead of the latter duo's presentation at the Palais, Baldwin also gave us a taste of what it's like to go full Colonel.
