* Fallon Worldwide recently announced a realignment of senior management ranks. David Lubars, formerly co-president/executive creative director of Fallon/Minneapolis has been named president/ECD for Fallon North America, while Fallon/Minneapolis general manager Eric Block was been named chief operating officer of Fallon Worldwide.

* Publicis has announced that it will close it Chicago office, effective Nov. 15. The branch's accounts and some of its staff will be folded into the agency's New York office. Former Goodby, Silverstein creative Peter Nicholson, who joined Publicis/Chicago as chief creative officer earlier this year, will take over as CCO of Publicis/New York, replacing Lance Paull.

* Wieden + Kennedy/Portland took home the Emmy for Best Commercial this year at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Prime-Time Creative Arts Awards. The winning spot, Nike's "Move," aired during the Olympics and was directed by RSA's Jake Scott. The commercial edged out spots for Computer Associates, Visa, Disney, Fox Sports and Budweiser.

* After almost a century of branding itself with the same trusty look, BBDO Worldwide has unveiled a new logo. In development for more than a year, the new shingle was created, according to worldwide CEO and chairman Allen Rosenshine, to replace the "staid and stale" look of the agency's old logo. The new logo features the agency's name arrayed vertically in red, in a sans serif font.
