Production Index

By Jh Published on .

The Creativity Production Index - the average number of spots produced by a sample of agency offices - gained ground in July, rising to 13.1 after dipping below 10 in July for the only time this year. The CPI has now shown gains over last year in three out of the last four months - a trend confirmed by numbers from the L.A. Film Office, which show production days rising there every month since April, after falling for the first three months of the year. Early CPI numbers for August, however, suggest that the month was softer than usual.
