First there was Tina, then Donny, then the Donald. Now there's Linda. Yes, Linda Kaplan Thaler-the ad exec who made her mark bringing America the Herbal Essences total organic experience and the Aflac duck-is getting her own reality show. "Making it Big," a six-part reality TV series makes its debut April 25 via Oxygen Media. "She is probably one of the most gifted executives that I know in terms of emotional intelligence," says Geraldine Laybourne, founder and CEO, Oxygen Media. The two met not long ago at a charity luncheon; after that, Laybourne says, she bought a copy of "Bang! Getting Your Message Heard in a Noisy World," Kaplan Thaler's tome on marketing, and encouraged the show's producers to consider Kaplan Thaler, CEO of New York's Kaplan Thaler Group, as the show's host. "We are used to thinking that the person who is toughest or the most cutthroat will win," says Kaplan Thaler. "Making It Big" appealed to her because it "is a way to show there are all different ways of getting ahead." Each episode features aspiring professionals competing for a break in a particular industry, such as working with celebrity French chef Daniel Boulud.

"This is very much about how women see business. It is very win-win, very supportive, very direct, not jaded." Laybourne says.
