Ad Age Outlook Episode 23: The Blamer Game, SyFy's Monster Madness and Murdoch's iPad Play

Published on .

Former Grey and FCB executive Steve Blamer is opening his own search consultancy -- and to kick things off, he's picking fights. Over the past couple weeks, he has sent several large marketers and agency new-business executives a three-page manifesto that blames the woes of the search consulting industry on what he calls "shameful and unethical" practices. Agency Editor Rupal Parekh joins host Bob Knorpp to discuss just what's going on here. Also up for discussion this week: TV Editor Brian Steinberg on SyFy's attempt to get marketers buy-in for its wacky monster mash-up movies and Digital Editor Michael Learmonth on the business model for Rupert Murdoch's iPad launch The Daily.
