Is Minimum-Wage Increase Depriving Bay Area of Cheap Eats?

"Six-dollar-and-fifteen cents! Six-dollar-and-fifteen-cent footlooonnnngg," doesn't exactly make for a catchy jingle. But the fact is , folks in San Francisco can no longer get a $5 footlong from Subway, according to SF Weekly. Subway HQ didn't respond to SF Weekly's request for comment, but area employees are suggesting the prices went up because of the new minimum wage of $10.24.
