Have you logged on to American Express lately? I have. And the company has decided that users going to the site to pay a bill or look for a service really need an annoying little bit of music to accompany their chores. You know what, AmEx? No. Stop it. A quick survey of five American Express users (or "card members" if you insist) turned up the exact same response: WTF? (Two of those participating in the survey work at ad agencies). I'm going to take a wild guess and say that's not the response the company was looking for. And before the company says anything about change or trying to create a sonic brand or any such foolishness, just save it. Make the song go away and we'll all forget it ever happened.
