A fellow Twitterer who resides in the Northeast remarked that she was taken aback a little by billboards in Florida advertising gun shows. That comment reminded me of TV ads that ran in Louisiana for the duration of my childhood. Of course, the ad--or a version of it--is on YouTube. This clip purports to be from 1996, but a) I was no longer a child by that point and b) I swear I remember a younger version of the woman wearing some sexy cowgirl getup. At any rate, the copy never changed and the closing line is what I'll always remember.
