'The Daily Show' Skewers Peta's Slavery-Related Publicity Stunt

Wyatt Cenac's Report Nothing Short of Genius

We all know the drill. Peta does something outlandish and gets buckets of free media from the coverage. Not content with naked models or Holocaust-themed ad imagery, the animal-rights group saw Black History Month as the perfect time to file a lawsuit on behalf of killer whales, claiming that Sea World was holding them as slaves.

So "The Daily Show's" Wyatt Cenac, with the help of civil-rights activist Elaine Browne and his own lawyer, gave Peta some exposure. And by that I mean exposing the group's tactics for the cynical, insulting and even hypocritical publicity stunts that they are.
