Dells On a Plane: Laptops More Dangerous Than Lipstick

Dell, as you probably know by now, has recalled 4 million laptop batteries (made by Sony) because some of them have been bursting into flame.

Aside from the bad PR (and these fires have been going on long enough to be a bit of a cult hit on YouTube), the Dell fiasco brings up another issue relevant for all laptop users--and the flying public at large. Think about the implications of a laptop catching fire at 25,000 feet. Regulators, it seems, are looking into the matter.
