DNC Makes Recording Industry, Republicans Happy

Hires RIAA Flack as Spokesperson

By Published on .

Here on the World Wide Internets, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who thinks happy thoughts about the Recording Industry Association of America. So it's no surprise that folks are unhappy that the Democratic party has hired former RIAA spokeswoman Jenni Engebretsen as a deputy CEO for public affairs. Just what the party of the people needs! The face of an industry group that goes around suing college kids and music-loving moms!

Heck, even Kos is ticked off. Kos and his gang of unruly readers and bloggers have been adept at scaring Democratic hopefuls away from those Fox News debates, so it'll be interesting to see what happens here.

The best take on this, though, is from BoingBoing's Cory Doctrow, who is offering RIAA Shill's Greatest Hits.
