According to the New York Post, "The city sent more than 33,000 invitations to restaurants and food suppliers inviting them to a free seminar on the looming trans-fat ban. Yet only 20 people signed up for class scheduled for Thursday -- and half of them are employed by various city agencies."

Really? Imagine that! The only people interested in hearing yet another lecture from an over-zealous nanny state are folks employed by the government itself. Go figure. Maybe they should have offered free doughnuts.

Note to government officials: those restaurants intending to abide by the ban have already done so. They've got restaurants to run and have not time to squander in government meetings. That's how the real world (the one that pays your salaries) works.
