Lawyers Play Dirty? Nah

Chicago Billboard Promotes Divorce

Uproar over the hijinks of a law firm? Never. It's not like it's the stuff that movies and bad jokes are made of. Well, ABC news has picked up on some ambulance chasing that may have gone too far.

A billboard ad for a Chicago law firm is actually advocating divorce, and -- of course -- their services in obtaining one. From the article:

The ad is the brainchild of Corri Fetman, who told ABC News' Law & Justice Unit, "Law firm advertising is boring ... Everything's always the same. It's lawyers in libraries with a suit on and the law books behind them. They don't say anything. What, I should hire you because you have a law degree? C'mon. So we wanted to try something different."

Promoting divorce is border-line unethical, critics say. But, hey, if they can actually hook you up with the guy with the six-pack abs or the chick with the huge bosom, is it really all that bad?
