Feds over the weekend cuffed T.I. (real name Clifford Harris) on charges of illegal gun possession, just hours before a scheduled appearance at the BET Hip Hop Awards.
Chevrolet, which late last year brought in T.I. to be featured in various new promotions for the new Impala, including a TV commercial featuring racer Dale Earnhardt Jr. and a Superbowl spot, is apparently "reviewing the situation," a GM representative told the online gossip site.
Finding a worthy replacement could prove tough. According to TMZ, the automaker said earlier this year: "Chevy is a brand that represents a voice of American Revolution, and T.I. shares some of those same values."
Um, like the right to bear arms? May we suggest Charlton Heston?
