Better Marketing with Cocaine

The Freakonomics blog has a short post about what may be the early signs of a cocaine comeback. Clapton's playing the song again and an energy drink has taken on the name. My prediction: While cocaine will never leave us, as a marketing tactic, the move will be short-lived.

I'm not one to side with town councilmen when they try to get invovled with interstate commerce, but in this case Queens Councilman James Sanders Jr. is probably speaking for a large bipartisan majority when he says, "There are only two reasons that you would seek to use this infamous and insidious name to market your so-called energy drink. Either you are woefully ignorant of the horrors of cocaine addiction, or your god is the dollar bill, and not even human life is more sacred."
