Gawker pointed this out this morning, but apparently MSNBC, in writing about the Michael Vick case, quoted Al Sharpton's blog. Fake Al Sharpton, that is -- the one who, along with Fake Barack Obama, Fake Dalai Lama, Fake Mitt Romney and others, writes for Here's Al's post.

Bloggers, of course, are having a field day with this. As Greg Galant of NewsGroper noted in an e-mail, "I wonder what finally tipped off their crack investigative journalism unit: 1. The words 'fake parody blogs' in the title bar of every page of our site 2. Our logo 3. Al Sharpton blogging on the same site as Lindsay Lohan, George Bush and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad 4. Our about page 5. Al Sharpton referring to himself in his bio as an 'Emancipation Proclamation enthusiast.'"

Or, they might have been tipped off by the quote itself. "If the police caught Brett Favre running a dolphin-fighting ring out of his pool, where dolphins with spears attached to their foreheads fought each other to the death, would they bust him? Of course not!"

Sure, Al Sharpton's over the top, but c'mon guys.
