Every Page of Every Ebony Issue From '59 to 2008 Now Online

If you're a magazine buff, this archive project from Ebony and Google is going to be right up your alley. Not only can you get a look at all of the articles and photos through almost 50 years of Ebony magazines, you can check out all the ads as well. It's a work in progress, missing issues after 2008 and between the magazine's launch in 1945 and 1959. It'll be interesting to see the early end of the missing years for a look at which advertisers were in from the start. The first issue available in the archives, November of 1959, is certainly thick with ads from both specialty companies and general-market advertisers.

In unrelated Google archiving news, the search giant has given up on its plans to archive all the world's newspapers.
