PETA Steak Story Likely Too Good to Be True

Group Not Urging You to Eat Meat

By Published on .

UPDATE: SAI confirms that this was all an elaborate hoax. Apparently someone's eating too much red meat.

According to some online sleuthing from one of our commenters, that Omaha Steaks ad placed on PETA's SeaKittens site is likely someone punking PETA. It "looks like this is actually a stunt and/or controversial use of embedded inline frames. Seakittens.com -- not owned by PETA, it seems, if you check WHOIS -- is actually in-line framing the legit PETA site, at http://www.peta2.com/sea_Kittens/."
