When we wrote this week about PhRMA and the status of its hand-shake deal with the Barack Obama administration, the group didn't have much to say. Not that we blame them. After all, they'd shelled out some $100 million in ads supporting reform and are left with no guarantees whatsoever that the White House will live up to its end of the bargain. Secretly, we wondered if a spurned PhRMA might come out with new ads opposed to legislation. But no. The latest ad from Americans for Stable Quality Care, "a non-profit coalition of many diverse organizations who have come together with the shared mission of advocating for sensible health insurance reform" and of which PhRMA is a member, has been released. So yes, Virginia, the drug lobby is still supporting the reform bill.
