Did you know that those poor Canadians not only have to live with polar bears and hippies fleeing the tyranny of the U.S., but they're also deprived of American-made Super Bowl spots? It's true! Here's the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission's explanation: "Every year, Canadian stations buy the rights to air the Super Bowl in Canada, but they sell the commercial advertising slots to Canadian advertisers. They replace the ads that Americans see at home."
Not that the Canadians missed much considering this year's crop. And that's not to say they didn't get their own crazy creative. Used-car-shopping site Autohound let loose with the following gem during the big game.
There were two other cute ads featuring the pooch, one featuring greyhound racing and the other beef. Be careful, though. The more you watch them, the more you wonder what the heck a web-surfing dog has to do with a used-car site.
