Well, now you are, provided that you sign up through Yahoo Fantasy Football. Toyota recently announced the Toyota Hall of Fame : Legends of Fantasy Football to recognize the genius of fantasy football players past and present. Want some NFL or Conan-the-Barbarian-worthy music to go with this fantasy? Here you go:
To kick things off, Toyota will be inducting four honorary Hall of Famers. Today, we honor the founder of fantasy football, the late Bill Winkenbach. If you thought the Conan music above was cool, you'll dig this NFL Films-worthy video created by Toyota AOR Saatchi & Saatchi, Los Angeles, to honor "Wink."
In coming weeks, three more greats will be honored on the site and with videos from Saatchi: Andy Mousalimas, who did much to publicize the game in its early days; John Rozek, the No. 1 fantasy football player in the world; and the top-ranked female fantasy player Kimra Schleicher.
Of course, the whole point of fantasy football is for you, the 30 million players in the U.S. and Canada, to be in on the action. So the site is set up to nominate hall of famers. What's in it for Toyota? Well, it's about you, the 30 million players in the U.S. and Canada. And this is certainly a less annoying way to target football fans than with 30 second ads -- sorry, "trailers" -- featuring JLo.
"We know fantasy football players are very invested in their team and focused on managing and making the right moves, so we've maintained the strategy of developing contextually relevant creative, content and tools that enhance their experience," said Kim Kyaw, senior media strategist for Toyota. Other players and fans will vote and inductees will be announced Dec. 19. According to Saatchi, inductees will get national media exposure and an old-school football jacket.
And, of course, the bragging rights to needle your brother-in-law with during this holiday season and everyone thereafter!
