To get consumers to embrace a little known truth—that Hitachi is more than just home electronics—McCann Worldgroup/San Francisco, production company HKM and interactive agency Code and Theory launched "True Stories," a series of online documentary-style short films that can be viewed and downloaded at the Hitachi website. Each of the five films journeys to a different U.S. town to explore how Hitachi's innovative technologies are making a real difference in such diverse areas as environmentally-safe power plants, cancer treatment and online crime-fighting.
