To mark the upcoming release of Universal's The Black Dahlia, the Brian De Palma-directed film based on one of the most horrific and captivating unsolved murders in American history, creative design studio Exopolis has created an immersive online experience that transports visitors back to the dark days of 1940s-era Los Angeles. The website explores the film's dark setting through interactive maps that reveal exclusive movie clips and information about the city's most notorious locales. Visitors can also access actual FBI files and newspaper reports that tell the tragic true story of the Black Dahlia case, as well as a classic newsreel-style video titled "Dark L.A." (which can be found both on the site and seeded throughout the web) recounting the most infamous events in L.A.'s violent past.
