As part of the launch campaign for V CAST Music, Verizon Wireless tapped Atlanta-based interactive agency Moxie Interactive to create a series of online ads that capture the convenience and cool factor of the new premium music service, which allows users to download and play songs on their cell phones. The ads take the concept of rich media banners to the next level, with groundbreaking video integration (featuring content shot specifically for the web and not seen in the campaign's TV spots) and streaming audio of complete songs from artists like Yellowcard and The Fugees, which users can listen to just by rolling over the ad with their mouse. "Our goal was to develop a digital marketing campaign that creates a unique consumer experience by allowing them to trial V CAST Music first hand, within the banner," said Moxie Interactive chief creative officer Bob Conquest. "We developed original video content in three different sizes for the online banner ads, and integrated streaming audio options to provide consumers with an engaging experience inside the ad unit."
