In honor of all you gossip-mongers out there, Boston-based online marketing agency Pod Digital has created Rumormaker.com as part of the promotional campaign for Warner Bros.' new movie Rumor Has It, starring Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Costner. The website puts you in the scandal-sniffing shoes of a trashy celebrity tabloid editor, allowing you to create your very own fake tabloid stories starring friends and family members—which you can then email to the very friends and family you just defamed. A rumor creator tool helps those who have trouble concocting appropriately inappropriate stories, and a photo-upload feature adds an extra level of credibility to your salacious lies.
