Since when did golf promos, or CBS for that matter, equal funny? As far as we're concerned, when this offbeat scenario first aired. The spot hilariously plays off the muted tones of golf announcer Jim Nance, who rolls through a fast food drive thru with his hungry sportscasting posse. As Nance softly enumerates his order for eight double cheeseburgers and eight large fries, he barely registers at a whisper, to the befuddlement of the restaurant clerk, who can make out only bits of the "No pickles" request from a backseat rider. The spot-on performances and skillful directing and editing make for crisp, comedic perfection.
