GSD&M, Deutsch, Wieden & Kennedy Make Cut

By Published on .

SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- Convenience chain 7-Eleven apparently has narrowed the search for its advertising agencies to three shops.

The finalists are Omnicom Group's GSDM, Austin, Texas Interpublic Group of Cos.' Deutsch, New York; and Wieden & Kennedy, New York.

A 7-Eleven spokeswoman declined to discuss the short list and said a decision would be made at the beginning of next year.

"We are not going to reveal any [agency] until the announcement" of a winner, she said.

The review started with six shops. The Richards Group, Dallas, was the previous agency.

Last year, 7-Eleven spent $20.7 million on advertising, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR.
