SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- VF Corp.'s premium sports apparel subsidiary The North Face, San Leandro, Calif., has narrowed the review for agency of record to five West Coast ad shops.

Those in the running are: Venables, Bell & Partners; Havas' Black Rocket Euro RSCG, and Publicis Groupe's Publicis & Hal Riney, all San Francisco; Publicis' Publicis in the West, Seattle, and Omnicom Group's DDB, Seattle.

Final presentations will take place at the end of July, with a decision expected in August.

The company said 15 agencies started in the review. Incumbent, Banjo Strategic Entertainment, formerly Blazing Paradigm, which closed, declined to participate, the marketer said.
