BOSTON (AdAge.com) -- Coca-Cola Co. has yet to announce its anticipated account changes, but it's expected to move its much vaunted water account, Dasani, from independent Berlin, Cameron & Partners, New York, to Interpublic Group of Cos.' Foote, Cone & Belding, Chicago.
Payback to Interpublic
Marketing head Steve Heyer, president-CEO of the company's New Business Ventures unit, wants to shift the estimated $25 million business as payback to Interpublic, which lost more than $350 million in business when PepsiCo moved its food and beverage brands to Omnicom Group, according to one executive close to the company.
FCB had handled Aquafina's latest campaign with Friends star Lisa Kudrow.
Dasani has been at Berlin Cameron since before its 1999 rollout. The agency is expected to continue handling Mello Yello, Pibb and Nestea Cool, though Chairman Andy Berlin declined to comment. Initially, Berlin Cameron had been expected to retain Dasani.
It's uncertain when Coca-Cola will announce its agency shakeup, though it has been anticipated for more than a week.
