AMD PUTS $25 MILLION ACCOUNT INTO REVIEW

Company Looking to Consolidate Global Business

SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- Semiconductor company Advanced Micro Devices, Sunnyvale, Calif., has put its consolidated global account with billings in the range of $25 million to $30 million into review.

Bob Kennedy, AMD director of corporate branding, said the selected agency will handle work in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, Japan and Asia Pacific. The consolidated assignment includes corporate image advertising, channel advertising, online advertising and local advertising support.

Interpublic Group of Cos.' Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Boston, was AMD's agency for domestic business since 1995, while Publicis Groupe's Publicis, London, was the lead European resource.

Select Resources International, West Hollywood, Calif., consultant in the review, said they were uncertain whether the incumbents would participate.
