AMERICAN CENTURY INVESTMENTS AWARDS AD ACCOUNTS

TBWA/Chiat/Day, Tequila and OMD Are Winners

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- American Century Investments has awarded its $20 million advertising account to Omnicom Groupís TBWA/Chiat/Day, New York, following a review.

TBWA beat out WPP Groupís Grey and independent Wieden & Kennedy for the Kansas City, Mo.-based investment managerís business. American Century also awarded its interactive advertising duties to TBWAís Tequila, New York, and media responsibilities to Omnicomís OMD, New York.

Incumbent independent RPA, Santa Monica, Calif., did not defend the account.

American Century, which was founded in 1958, manages about $95 billion in assets. It spent about $23 million on measured media in 2004, according to TNS Media Intelligence.
