NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Bob Scarpelli is handing over DDB Worldwide's global chief creative reigns to Amir Kassaei, chief creative of the Omnicom agency's German group. Mr. Scarpelli has been with the agency for more than 30 years and has served as worldwide chief creative officer since 2005. He will remain chairman.
"When Bob decided he wanted to transition his global creative duties, we both thought of Amir," DDB President-CEO Chuck Brymer said in a statement. "He has a strong commitment to great work in every type of communication and to inspiring others to succeed. We are confident he will do an extraordinary job in this new position."
Mr. Kassaei was previously chief creative officer and associate partner of DDB, Germany.
