Andersen spent $32 million on measured media in 2004, according to TNS Media Intelligence, and $14 million during the first six months of this year.
New agency management
The review poses a challenge to Campbell Mithun’s new leadership team charged with improving the agency’s creative and winning new business. Jack Rooney, former VP-marketing at Miller Brewing Co. and a veteran agency account executive, joined as president last year and has since moved up to CEO. Jonathan Hoffman, formerly vice chairman and executive creative director at Leo Burnett, this spring filled the agency’s long vacant top creative job. Les Mouser, longtime top executive at the agency who most recently held the title of chairman, left in recent months.
Mr. Rooney was hired after the agency spent several years losing clients and struggling to attract new business. Since his arrival, the agency has landed Hartford Financial and created work for the relaunch of Coca-Cola Co.’s Fresca.
