Will Create Online Ad Programs for Park Place Entertainment

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Park Place Entertainment Corp. named Avenue A, the Seattle-based digital media and marketing agency, its online agency of record.

Avenue A will create interactive advertising programs, search campaigns and search engine optimization, and also provide consulting and analytic services for the Las Vegas company.

Park Place manages or has an interest in more than 20 gaming properties operating under the Bally's, Caesars, Flamingo, Grand Casinos, Paris and Hilton names.

The account, which represents a new-business win for Avenue A, was awarded without a review.

Billings were not disclosed, though Avenue A said Park Place will be among its 10 top-spending clients, among which are AT&T Wireless, Microsoft Corp. and Best Buy Co. Park Place spent $17.3 million in measured media in the U.S. from January to November 2002, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR.
