Startup to Handle Broadcast and Print Creative

Published on .

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Gateway named startup Siltanen/Keehn, El Segundo, Calif., its agency for broadcast and print creative.

Last year, Gateway produced spots featuring Gateway founder Ted Waitt and a talking, advice-dispensing cow. The approach is likely to continue, a company spokesman said.

In-house units of Gateway, which handled the full account for almost a year, will retain direct and online advertising.

Gateway spent $156 million for the first nine months of 2001, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR.

Interpublic Group of Cos' Initiative Media, handles Gateway media.
