DETROIT (AdAge.com) -- BMW of North America of Woodcliff Lake, N.J., tapped Matlock Advertising and Public Relations, Atlanta, as its new multicultural agency of record, after a review.

The automaker said it also plans to enhance its existing relationship with Publicis Sanchez & Levitan, Miami, for Hispanic advertising.

Matlock succeeds Washington Daniel Advertising, Chicago, which won the account in June 2000.

Matlock was a finalist last year in Nissan North America's $15 million urban account review. The agency's other clients include Bell South, Publix Supermarkets, Dell Computer Corp. and Coca-Cola Co.
