Account for Edison Light Had Been With Sibling Hill Holliday

BOSTON (AdAge.com) -- New Century Brewing Co., Hingham, Mass., has selected Interpublic Group of Cos.' Mullen, Wenham, Mass., to handle advertising for its low-calorie brew, Edison Light Beer.

Billings were not disclosed, though the company last year estimated they would be around $1 million.

last year and is available in 10 states. The company said distribution should be nationwide by year's end.

Mullen sibling Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Boston, had handled Edison until it began working for Anheuser-Busch Cos. last year.

Last year Mullen had worked on Labatt USA's Sol Beer but now said the project is done and that results will be implemented by Interpublic's Lowe, Mexico City. Sol last year received $53,100 in measured media, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR. Mullen won the account in January 2001.
