Minority-Owned Shop to Be General Market Agency of Record

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Buy.com has tapped minority-owned independent Walton/Isaacson as its general-market advertising agency of record.

The effort will feature Howie Mandel, host of "Deal or No Deal," and launch in the midst of holiday season. Mr. Mandel starred in last year's campaign as well.

"Walton/Isaacson's approach to reinvigorating brands inspired us to work with the agency for our 2008 holiday advertising campaign," Jeff Wisot, VP-marketing at Buy.com, said in a press release.

Buy.com spent $10.9 million in measured media in 2007, according to TNS Media Intelligence. It spent $4.9 million during the first half of 2008.
