Cadbury Picks Horizon for U.S. Media Buying

Cossette Media to Handle Canadian Portion of $150M Account

By Published on .

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Cadbury has awarded its $150 million media buying and planning business for North America to independent agency Horizon Media and Quebec City-based Cossette Media. The agencies participated in the review as a cross-border collaboration through their Columbus Media International partnership, a multinational partnership of independent media agencies.

Horizon will handle the U.S. portion of the business while Cossette manages the Canadian piece of the assignment. An executive said the majority of that $150 million is spent on the U.S. business.

In a statement, Cadbury said the competitive review included 11 other pitches. The partnership took effect Nov. 10.
