Agency Won Account in March; No Campaign Developed

CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Anheuser-Busch Cos.' Sea World and new agency Campbell-Ewald, Warren, Mich., are parting company before the shop even broke a campaign.

Sea World in March awarded the creative assignment on the estimated $15 million account to the Interpublic Group of Cos. agency, following a review that included Omnicom Group's DDB Worldwide, Chicago.

the account, and the agency said it is in production now and expects to break new work in 2003.

DDB is an Anheuser-Busch roster shop, handling Busch Entertainment Corp.'s Busch Gardens and two other water parks and the brewer's Budweiser account.

A spokesman for Campbell-Ewald said the agency and Busch Entertainment explored "strategic and creative options" but "fundamental differences" existed in their approaches.

Busch Entertainment did not return calls for comment.
