Seeks St. Louis Agency for $5 Million Assignment

CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Enterprise Rent-A-Car said it's looking to consolidate roughly $5 million worth of mostly direct mail and point-of-purchase work to a single St. Louis-based agency.

That work had been done internally, by freelancers or on a project-by-project basis, a spokeswoman at the marketer said. The goal is to bring consistency to all the work.

Enterprise sent requests for proposals to nine local agencies and will be conducting the review for the next month or so.

The spokesman said Interpublic Group of Cos.' Avrett, Free & Ginsberg, New York, is still the marketer's agency of record. The shop has had the account since 1988. Last month, the car rental company moved the media portion of its estimated $40 million account to Omnicom Group's PHD, New York, after a decade with Publicis Groupe's MediaVest.

Abrams Travel Data Services, which tracks the auto rental industry, said Enterprise is the nation's largest car rental company in terms of fleet size and revenues.
