To Handle Launch of Tommy Bahama's Indigo Palms

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Indigo Palms, a division of Tommy Bahama, has selected Interpublic Group of Cos.' Carmichael Lynch, Minneapolis, to handle the launch of its new clothing line and associated stores.

The fully integrated ad launch, to break next year, will encompass advertising, in-store, design and point-of-sale advertising.

Shootout with Arnold
Carmichael Lynch, which also will handle media, won the account in a shootout with Havas' Arnold Worldwide, Boston.

Tommy Bahama is a division of Oxford Industries. Spending for Indigo Palms was not disclosed, but the Tommy Bahama brand received $2 million across its clothing and home furnishings lines in 2002, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
