MindShare, Ogilvy to Handle Global Creative and Media Biz

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Castrol motor oil is consolidating its global creative and media business at Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide and MindShare Worldwide, both owned by WPP Group.

Castrol is owned by BP, a major international client for both agencies.

The appointments were apparently made without a formal pitch.

Castrol previously used different agencies around the world, including Interpublic Group of Cos.' Foote, Cone & Belding Worldwide and Springer & Jacoby in Europe.

A budget figure was not disclosed.
