CELLULAR SOUTH NARROWS REVIEW TO FOUR

Creative and Media Account Valued at $8-$12 Million

SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- Cellular South, a privately held wireless network in five states, has narrowed the review for its $8 million to $12 million creative and media advertising account to four shops, the search consultant said.

They are Havas' Arnold Worldwide, McLean, Va.;

Cramer-Krasselt, Chicago; MDC Partner's Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Miami; and independent Archer Malmo, Memphis, Tenn., which has been handling assignments.

Select Resources International, Santa Monica, Calif., is conducting the review. A decision is expected early February.

MDC's Fletcher Martin Ewing, Atlanta, was the incumbent.

The wireless carrier, with more than 5 million customers in Mississippi, the Alabama Gulf Coast, the Florida Panhandle, Southwest Tennessee and west Arkansas, faces challenges from more established carriers and also is expanding its network.
