By Published on .

CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- The Chicago Tribune has selected DDB Worldwide of Chicago to handle its estimated $4 million advertising account, according to an executive close to the situation.

The newspaper, owned by the Tribune Co., chose the Omnicom Group agency after a five-month search.

The Tribune ended its eight-year relationship with agency Marc USA of Chicago on Jan. 31.

Consultant firm Jones Lundin Beals of Chicago handled the search.

A Tribune representative didn't immediately return a call.
