The review encompasses Stetson, Stetson Untamed, Lady Stetson, Stetson Sierra and Stetson Country fragrances. Coty is spending $10 million advertising the line in 2003 and plans to increase spending in 2004 by an unspecified amount, according to the statement.
Roth Associates, New York, is the consultant handling the search.
Incumbent Della Femina/Jeary & Partners, New York will participate in the review, expected to be completed by February.
"We're initiating this review to ensure we have the best possible resources and creativity," Anastasia C. Ayala, senior vice president for global marketing at Coty, said in a statement. The company declined further comment.
Stetson Untamed, the newest fragrance in the lineup, launched this fall, marking the first time in Coty's history that the company is running three national ad campaigns simultaneously, said John Galantic, president of Coty Beauty US in an October interview.
Coty is also backing its Adidas men's skincare and deodorant line and Celine Dion fragrance with ads from Badger Kry & Partners, New York.
