Coty Consolidates Traditional Global Media With Incumbent ZenithOptimedia

Fragrance manufacturer Coty selected ZenithOptimedia for global print and TV media support, according to an agency statement.

As part of the review, the company had asked agencies to agree to 150-day lags in payment.

The Publicis Groupe shop will retain its business in Germany and Austria, and expand its 10-year relationship by adding another 13 markets around the world. The global contract covers North America, Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe.

"Selecting a global agency partner is in line with our global efficiency strategy and another step towards our plan to reinvest in our power brands," said Bart Becht, Chairman and Interim CEO, Coty, in a statement. "[ZenithOptimedia showed strength across all media capabilities -- particularly in data analytics -- and demonstrated a truly integrated and transparent approach to media communications."

It's unclear who will support digital media for Coty.
