CRAMER-KRASSELT CUT FROM MITSUBISHI AD REVIEW

Five Finalists Remain; March Decision Expected

DETROIT (AdAge.com) -- Mitsubishi Motors North America said it cut independent agency Cramer-Krasselt of Chicago from its advertising review. There are now five finalists competing for its creative, online and media planning accounts.
A decision is expected in March.

The automaker said the finalists are: the incumbent, Interpublic Group of Cos.' Deutsch, Los Angeles; Interpublic sibling TM Advertising of Dallas; Omnicom Group's BBDO Worldwide of New York; and two Publicis Groupe agencies -- Publicis West of Seattle and Publicis & Hal Riney in San Francisco.

Work assignment
The automaker said the finalists will be asked to present an integrated work assignment tied to the launch of its redone 2006 Eclipse, due to launch later this year.

Work sessions with the agencies will be at Mitsubishi's U.S. headquarters in Cypress, Calif., next week, with final presentations planned for mid-February.

A decision is expected by March, according to the company.
